    Device for the formation and transfer of decorative banners for thermoformed packaging machines.
    Object of the invention.
    The object of the present invention is a device for the formation and transfer of decorative banners for packaging of thermoformed containers, which presents constructive particulars oriented to allow a superior vertical introduction of said banners; and to introduce or remove the device from the working area of the packaging machine manually or automatically to facilitate maintenance and access to the packaging forming mold.
    Field of application of the invention.
    This invention is applicable in the field dedicated to the manufacture of thermoformed packaging packaging machines.
    State of the art
    In this section it is worth mentioning the existence of the invention patent ES 2 385 149 B1 of the same applicant of the present invention, which describes a device for the formation and transfer of longitudinal paper strips to the decorative carriage for a thermoformed packaging machine.
    Said device comprises: - a coil support roller; - a longitudinal trimming unit in longitudinal bands; - guide rollers for the longitudinal bands; - guide rails of the introduction car; - a gearmotor associated with a toothed belt, which in turn is attached to the introduction and cross-cutting device, displacing it transversely in the direction of the cross-band forming device at a controlled speed; - guide rails of the mobile carriage of the insertion and cross-cutting unit of the banners; - at least one compensation device formed by a set of fixed and movable rollers, by means of mechanical transmission driven by the displacement geared motor of the introduction and cross-section module.
    In said background the transfer of the device between a working position and a verification position is contemplated automatically; performing the delivery of the longitudinal bands horizontally.
    These characteristics imply a certain constructive rigidity that entails a limitation both in terms of maintenance tasks and access to the entire manufacturing line, as well as the production capacity.
    Another limitation of this type of devices is the difficulty of changing the format in terms of the width and height of the paper supplied due precisely to said horizontal feeding.
    The applicant of the present invention is unaware of the existence of devices of the type mentioned above that allow to satisfactorily solve the problem set forth. Therefore, the technical problem that arises is the development of a device for the formation and transfer of decorative banners for packaging machines

    thermoforming, which provides a competitive advantage both in terms of changing the format of the banners or strips of decorative paper supplied to the packaging machine, as well as increasing the production capacity and versatility of the device as regards its incorporation or separation with respect to the packaging machine.
    Description of the invention
    This device comprises a series of usual and existing elements in the aforementioned background; such as: - a support roller of a decorative paper coil; - a unit for longitudinally cutting the paper into longitudinal bands and; - guide rollers of the longitudinal bands towards an applicator head of the banners on thermoformed containers in a working area of the thermoformed packaging machine.
    This device has some features aimed at solving the problem described above.
    To this end, and according to the invention, the device application head, instead of the horizontal position of the aforementioned antecedent, is arranged in a superior vertical position with respect to the working area of the packaging machine, which provides the following advantages :
    - Increase of production of at least 10%, since it allows the packing machine to work with a rotating system with at least two molds; One receives the banner and the other forms the containers.
    - It allows maintaining the characteristics of the current horizontal system, in terms of working with different widths and lengths of flag, which means that the line can manufacture containers with different formats of diameter and height; unlike other existing machines that can only manufacture one model of packaging per machine.
    Another feature of the invention is that the device is mounted on suitable support means for its introduction or removal from the working area of the packaging machine manually or automatically. This allows to work outside the machine facilitating its maintenance and access to the production line.
    These support means comprise support wheels on the ground and / or prismatic guides fixed to the chassis of the packaging machine.
    These and other features of the invention will be more readily understood in view of the exemplary embodiments shown in the attached figures, which are described below.

    Preferred embodiment of the invention.
    In the exemplary embodiment shown in Figures 1 and 2, the device (1) of the invention disposed in an operative position with respect to the working area (21) of a thermoformed packaging machine (2), provided with a rotary system with respect to a vertical axis (22).
    The device (1) for forming and transferring decorative banners to the packaging machine (2) comprises a support structure (11) that allows manual or automatic movement for its introduction or removal in an area above the work area (21 ) of the packaging machine (2).
    The elements necessary to form and dispense decorative banners of the packages are assembled on said support structure (11), starting from a coil (12) of material stock.
    Said elements comprise a compensation unit (13) of the material web band supplied by the reel (12), a cutting unit (14) that makes a series of parallel cuts in the material web band, separating it into a plurality of longitudinal bands (15) that move along guide rollers (16) to an applicator head (17) disposed in a vertical position above the working area of the packing machine (2) and which is responsible for positioning the banners on the containers (3).
    In the exemplary embodiment shown in Figures 1 and 2, the cutting unit (14) and the guide rollers (16) are oriented so that the cutting of the longitudinal bands (15) and their introduction into the packaging machine is carried out. in a direction perpendicular to the line of formation of the containers.
